National Junior Athletics League Match report 29 April 2012 – Team Oxfordshire

With many events around the country cancelled 22 athletes from ‘Team Oxfordshire’ drove through floods, rain and high winds to arrive in Sutton for the first under 20 National Junior League match of the season. This is the second year the composite team, comprising athletes from 5 Oxfordshire athletics clubs (Abingdon Amblers Athletics Club, Bicester Harriers, OCAC, Radley AC and White Horse Harriers), has entered and there are high hopes of an improved final position in 2012 after missing second place, at this match, by just 4 points.

Team Managers required U15/ U20 SEAA IC fixture this year is on Sat 26 May

The County needs help. The U15/ U20 SEAA IC fixture this year is on Sat 26 May (2 weeks after the County Champs). While I have two team managers for the U20 teams, We have no offers to look after the U15 teams. Without these, it is not reasonable for the U15 teams to be entered. On the Saturday of the event, the team managers will need to confirm the final teams to the organisers once they reach the stadium. This needs ages; EA numbers etc. (Forms will be provided). There are no plans for any coach this year as the event is being held at COPTHALL stadium, Hendon.

Oxfordshire Athletics Network Network Administrator (part time)

Role Requirements An initial 6 month period (with a possible extension subject to funding and performance) on a purely self employed basis. The Network is not seeking to directly employ anyone.
It is anticipated that this role will take up to an average of approximately 7 hours per week, some of which will be in the evenings. Whilst there will be some activities that require attention throughout the year, work will not be evenly spaced each week and peaks/troughs of activity are therefore to be expected.
