Oxford Half Marathon

Dear colleagues, I suspect you have all received an invitation from Mike Andrews (Course Director for the Oxford Half Marathon) to attend a meeting at Brookes Sports Centre next Thursday 18th August at 7.00. I have not received such an invitation. My view is very clear (and has been agreed by the OAA Committee) - OAA was not invited to be involved in this event; the race is not permitted by UK-A (Governing Body); there are two OAA events on that day (at Finstock and Longworth). I would hope therefore that OAA affiliated clubs would ask their members to support the latter rather than the Half Marathon (I include in this runners, marshalls and other officials).
