Officials course

Hi all

Apologies for the comparatively short notice, but I am planning to run a Level 1 Assistant Officials course at Radley College on Tuesday 21 April 2009 (6.30 - 9.30 pm).

I need to be sure I have sufficient numbers, so there is a deadline for applications: 11 April 2009. All applicants need to complete and return to me the attached licence application form - remembering to include a passport photo, and sending a cheque for £10 (made payable to England Athletics).

The course is suitable for relative newcomers to the sport, eg parents who want to help and/or officiate at meetings. I always advise Level 2 entry (bypassing Level 1) for those with good experience of officiating (even in an unqualified capacity).

This is a good opportunity for the right sort of applicants, as there will not be another Level 1 in the Region before next Autumn and because what should be an excellent facility - the new pabvilion at Radley is adjacent to the all-weather track and I'll be able to offer hands-on experience - track markings, jumps and throws facilities, etc.
